Shipping

We would prefer that you come in person to pick-up your puppy.  We welcome the opportunity to meet you and show you where your puppy spent the first few weeks of its life.  If you are not within driving distance, you can purchase a roundtrip ticket to come and pick your new puppy up.  You can fly with the puppy in a soft carrier.

However, we realize that this is not always possible.  In this event we are able to ship the puppy to you.  We can make all of the arrangements to ship your new puppy to you.  We understand that you may  have concerns about shipping your new puppy.  We do everything possible to help you feel comfortable with the shipping process.  The airlines literally ship hundreds of puppies each week, and the whole process goes smoothly.  Warm-blooded animals are shipped in cooled/heated  and pressure controlled environments. 

Puppies cannot be shipped before 8 weeks of age.  All puppies travel in an airline approved crate.  Food and bowls are attached to the crate.  Feeding instructions are also attached, in the event the puppy needs to be fed or watered before it reaches its destination.  Absorbent material is placed at the bottom of the crate as well.  Each puppy will also need a health certificate from our vet in order to fly.

Cost of shipping a puppy to anywhere in the continental US, ranges between $250 and $275.  This includes airfare, crate (yours to keep) and health certificate.  We typically ship out of Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW).  Reservations are typically made 3-7 days ahead of the flight day. 

It is important to call your airline’s local number ahead of time, to find out where you need to go to pick your puppy up.  This varies from airport to airport.

Please bring the following with you:

1. PHOTO ID
2. Paper towels/ wipes and baggies to clean up any messes.
3. Leash and collar
4. Towel or blanket to hold puppy in
5. Toy for puppy to chew on
6. Water and bowl to offer puppy a drink (limit food on the way home)
